The Early Day Motion acknowledges the significant impact that Save by the Bell has had on young people across Dundee since its creation. For two decades, our mission has been to empower children with money management skills and financial education, work that has reached pupils from P1 to P7 and supported learning both in and beyond the classroom.
In his letter to our team, Chris Law MP offered warm congratulations on our upcoming anniversary and commended the dedication and effort shown by staff and volunteers over the years. He highlighted the value of the financial capability and confidence our programme brings to Dundee’s young people, and recognised the commitment of volunteers, school staff, and our team in delivering meaningful learning opportunities.
The Early Day Motion (EDM 2973) specifically celebrates Save by the Bell’s 20 years of service to Dundee’s children, the contribution of volunteers and teaching staff, the unique opportunities provided to pupils through saving schemes and organisation’s positive impact on young people’s financial futures. We are incredibly proud of this recognition and grateful to everyone who has played a part in our journey, both past and present, including volunteers, staff, pupils, schools, families, and to all our funders and supporters.
This acknowledgement in Parliament is a testament to the collective effort that has sustained Save by the Bell for two decades. As we celebrate our 20th year and start our new chapter as registered Scottish Charity, we look forward to continuing our work and inspiring financial confidence in the next generation.
